Welcome
Welcome to the Spina Bifida Trust New Zealand. If you, a family member or friend has Spina Bifida, we welcome you to join us as part of the Spina Bifida family in New Zealand. We are a national organisation so wherever you are, please get in touch.

The Spina Bifida Trust New Zealand was first established in the 1970’s, when parents of children with Spina Bifida originally formed the Spina Bifida Association of New Zealand. The Association provided social events for families, information and funding.
As children grew older their needs changed and they became more involved with other organisations. The Association membership decided to change its focus and was turned into a Trust which provided funding.
In 2017 after a period of inactivity by the Trust, a number of people came together at a Special General Meeting to appoint new Trustees. The trustees have been meeting periodically and plan to go public in 2019.
